Assets Folder

Since my hard drive was not compatible with a MAC I have posted all of my documents that were required for each of the Assets Folders into a public folder on dropbox.com

We spoke briefly about this in a previous class and I have shared that folder with you in a previous e-mail.

Site Analysis 3

1. http://lanasworkandinspiration.wordpress.com/

This site is made on word press but certain elements on this page inspired me to incorporate the same characteristics into mine. Such as a bold line on the top while keeping my white background. Also the headline of the site is a short personal description for example: "portfolio of". Something I would like to put on mine to describe myself.

2. http://theabaagency.com/

This site has a slide show. I would like to make a slide show of my events and PR work. As of now my first page is only my logo with a button to enter. I have not decided whether to put this slide show on my home page or on my about me section. I am leaning more towards about me as this will create a more personalized aesthetic, which my site is lacking at the moment.

3. http://www.rich-pr.com/#!about

I enjoy how all of the colors are cohesive on the site, event the Linkden button. This is something I want my site to have. I found it interesting it had a tab called "the menu" Describing the services offered in detailed bullets. I am not sure if my site would benefit from this as I am going for the less is more approach to create a clean feel. But I really want a subtle edge that pops. Maybe I could use this element to create my own style for presentation.

Final Logo Choice

The logo actually has a white background but for some reason doesn't show up on this site.

Professional feedback 3

Feedback from: Mia Sholty
Creative Industry Professional

The layout or proposed layout is professional and not complex. Which will make it quick and easy for viewers to navigate through. The minimalistic approach is a good theme but the site is lacking a small, subtle, creative element. Perhaps a bold signature at the top of the page or a boarder. The layout and content is good but the site needs to be more personalized. This is to give a better idea of my personality so that qualities other than technical skills and qualifications shine through. I need to show my voice through diction. Also, my buttons for my LinkedIn and resume page have were messed up and when I redesigned my site and need to be added. Overall Mia suggested not to hesitate to use words to describe my self. As this is my page and a more formal list of qualifications can be found through my resume.

Concept Statement

My website will portray services I provide through my portfolio, experience, and current endeavors  The look and feel of the site should be sleek and concise with content details available in the links. I intend to use grey as background color. And utilizing design details that promote good taste and hint at edgy concepts. I will be represented through a logo, images, and consistent font.

Blog Post: 3 Excellent Portfolio Sites

1. Features I am most attracted to are the slide show photos on the home page, how she offers both portfolio content and services in separate boxes on the side as opposed to tabs. As well as a page for fashion news and current projects. As well as a link to a fashion blog, something that I could possible start.

2. I enjoy the sleek design of the site. The placement of things. It is basic and to the point.

3. I like how there are links to artwork and exhibitions, I could replace this with events.
